Raptors vs Warriors 27.Feb

Golden State got a loss last night in a game that could have been the Finals preview. With Stephen Curry scoring 18 points, but only 6 after the first quarter and Lebron James scoring 42 points, there was just no way how teh Warriors could have won that game. What it means for today is that the Warriors will be extra motivated to wash away the shame and Curry will probably have above the average performance. Why? Because good teams bounce back right away and good players usually have good performances after bad nights and the Warriors and Curry fall into both categories.

Meeting the Raptors will help the Warriors as they will play a team that has been struggling as of late. In fact their 4-game run against the Western Conference teams is currently at 0-3 (losses against HOU, NOP and DAL).What makes it worse is the fact that neither of these 3 teams played at their full strength. HOU didn`t have Howard, NOP did not have Davis and Anderson and DAL had Rondo playing only for 18 minutes. Reasons for the Raptors recent struggles are obvious. DeRozan and Lowry have fallen in love with their jump shots, the team lacks chemistry and starters often play worse than the bench. Against the Warriors that is a receipt for disaster.

Golden State did beat the Raptors by 21 points in January. With back-to-back and game played in Toronto it should be a bit closer game tonight, but with the Warriors and Curry motivated to play a great game in order to forget last night`s failure the Warriors should still win it. Take GSW -1.0 points @1.952 with 3/5 units from Pinnacle.

Knicks v s Raptors 28.Feb

After Carmelo Anthony called it a season and Amare Stodemire was traded to the Mavericks it comes to no one surprise that the Knicks have been struggling. Struggles have been obvious especially at the offensive end where they just can not find any kind of rhythm. To be honest they just lack the offensive talent and it does not matter if it is a triangle offense or not, with the current roster scoring will be difficult. It has now been 11 games in a row for the Knicks to stay under 100 points (during 48 minutes).Their scoring average over that stretch is 89.8 points per game.

The Raptors have more talent, but they have also been struggling lately. For no obvious reason Toronto has changed its style of play compared to what they did at the beginning of the season. They do not push for fast breaks and settle for half court offense. Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan often find themselves dribbling the ball and rather than going to the basket decide to take difficult jump shots. All that has led to the Raptors losing 4 games in a row and staying below 100 points in each and every time.

Both teams find it difficult to score points. While the Knicks lack the talent, the Raptors are in some kind of funk offensively they seem to be unable to end. We expect both teams to try at the defensive end and struggle offensively. Take under 193 points @1.943 with 4/5 units from Pinnacle.
