Miami has absolutely no fan support and nothing to play for. In tonight’s matchup, the Marlins might find their best chance to win a game in this series as Nathan Eovaldi (2-2, 3.19) takes the mound and he’s opposed by Alex Wood (2-2, 3.20).
Wood has turned from a reliever to a starter and has fared well. In his last start, he picked up the victory against the Phillies in which he allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 6 innings pitched. This was his 2nd consecutive quality outing pitched.
Eovaldi, on the other hand, could give the Braves some problems. He’s pitched 3 superb outings in a row, allowing 3 runs in 19 innings pitched. This game will come down to the offenses where the Braves have an edge with Upton, Freeman, and McCann sitting in the meat of their batting order.
Cingrani startet heute Abend.
