Pick: Oklahoma Sooners -8 @ 2,02 Pinnacle
Oklahoma (19-6, 10-4 Big 12), Oklahoma State (15-13, 5-9 Big 12)
Oklahoma Sooners has been tearing it up lately with three consecutive games by 1 point. Their record is an impressive 19-6, and 13-1 at home (winners of their last 6 home games) Oklahoma is winning on average by 8 points, and by 10 points @ home.
The Oklahoma State Cowgirls, who are an above par 15-13 overall this season, but are a disastrous 3-6 on the road to date. They are beating their opponents by an average of 6 points per game, but on the road they are losing by 5 points. ! Oklahoma State has nothing to look forward too, they won’t be playing in any tournaments, and really they have nothing to prove.. If win their last two games (which includes this game) they will tie their worst record vs. their own conference (Big 12) which they set in 1996 so they surely want to play hard so that they are not the worst Oklahoma State team.
Sooners on the other hand are 22nd ranked in the country, so it looks like they will be making march madness and their conference tournament. This game will be shown all across North America and they will most likely want to show everyone to watch out for them in March Madness, because they are a dangerous team IMO, and could go deep into the tournament. Another factor that may be crucial is the fact that it is the senior day. 4 of Oklahoma’s top 5 scorers are Seniors. These days are very emotional days for the seniors who may be playing their final College Basketball game/ possibly their final basketball game ever, in their home building in front of their friends, families and fans.
They defiantly will want to put on a show, and they should not slow down, using the crowds emotion to fuel them. To add, Oklahoma State is 2-5 against Top 25 teams this season. Boggan/Curry/Johnson Jr. of OK STATE, match up decently with Gray/Neal/Everett, but after that Oklahoma dominates in every category . So they should put on a show Monday. Oklahoma’s final home game of the season, senior day, national television.. put these three factors together, the Oklahoma Sooners should destroy the Cowboys of Oklahoma State! Will they win their fourth consecutive game in by 1 point, I highly doubt it, instead I think they win easily by 10+ vs. their rivals, the Oklahoma State Cowboys.
