Tonight starts the 1st of the 4 Grand Slam tournaments. This one is down under, surface hardcourt and we see a very dull day 1 at the mens matchups. Here are some few recommendations:

O.ROCHUS 2.28 - Kiefer PIN 250 EH

This match is wide open. Rochus defeated Kiefer 2 week ago in 3 tight sets. Then he had an even better tournament reaching the final of Adelaide. One can say he is up to the heat conditions in Australia and really in form. Kiefer is sure good on hard but i doubt he has more than 50% to win this one - therefore odds of Pinnacle clear worth a bet !

PATIENCE 2.35 - Sch?er SWE 250 EH

H2H in straight sets in favor of the frenchman last week (!). AS Sch?er is also famous in losing the last 12 1st round matches how can he be clear favorit in this ? No way - bet on Patience at nice odds !

TIPSAREVIC 1.6 - Braccali +
DENT 1.15 - Serra ) 1.84 NB 300 EH

Tipsa and Bracca are 2 qualifiers with good results. Still Tipsa is the better player with the clear better results in 2004 so i think he will win this. Double filler here is Dent for me. Bit strange as Serra made an excellent qualis. Still the US boy is much too strong for him, very good form and results lately and last year while Serra has no ATP results any good so far.

HRBATY 1.64 - S?ling PIN 300 EH

We must say that Hrbaty has the far better results (beside the surprising loss to Acasuso last week) that his opponent. The swede an ok player on this surface as well but i sure give Hrbaty the edge here.

C.ROCHUS - Montanes + GONZALES - Acasuso ) 1.56 CP 500 EH

The clearest banker today: Rochus came ok through the qualis and showed at least some hard court form. Montanes has won against clay courter Puerta 1 year ago his last hard court match - a dozen losses since then. Gonzales tourny-winner last week and 6:0 H2H - ´nough said.

HERNYCH - Mantilla + CANAS + Guccione + PAVEL - Mutis 1.83 LAD 400 EH

Mantilla has no match practise on hard in last half year, Hernych an ok hard courter. Canas 2 classes above Guccione. Pavel clear better than injury hampered Mutis - therefore at Ladbrokes, 1 ball served bookie !

CHELA - Arthurs + YOUZHNY - H?el ) 1.75 UNI 300 EH

Youzhny is clear better player, Chela with wonderful results on hard while Arthurs on the slower surface should lose this.

STEPANEK 1.85 - Spadea UNI,NB 300 EH

The czech with the better results lately should win this imo. He also has H2H advantage.

?erall deiner Meinung, aber bist du dir bei Youhzny wirklich sicher ? Hatte eigentlich vor Haehnel zu spielen. [[nixweiss]]

Au?r denen die du genannt hast noch Benneteau, Nalbandian und Rusedski oder ist da von einem abzuraten wegen Verletzung ?
Nalbandian seh ich als Bank. Benneteau als Au?nseiter spielbar. Rusedski in diesem Jahr mit Niederlagen, die man erwarten konnte im Gegesatz zu Bj?an.

Werde auch Haehnel ganz small spielen. Ist f?ich auch nicht so klarer Au?nseiter hier, hat auch schon st?ere Gegner geschlagen.
Canas als Banker (klar besser als sein Gegner), dazu Rusdeki (Bk?ann in den letzten Spielen katastrophal) und Mello (aufstrebender Spieler). Au?rdem Chela (starke Form zur Zeit).

Rusedski

Ich werde es auch mit Rusedski probieren. Warum Jonas Bj?ann zuletzt so schlecht drauf war, erkl? er auf seiner Homepage wie folgt:

I´ve had a few disturbing injuries going into this season. Problems with a foot in December, with a strained back in Chennai, and then I managed to catch a "flight bug" on my way to Australia, which kept me, like, out off bounds for four days. Therefor it was good that I lost in Auckland, so that I´ve got a few more days in Melbourne to recover and find my form again. I´ve been feeling a little bit better each day.

Ich hoffe mal, dass er das Match heute nicht so ernst nimmt und sich auf die Doppelkonkurrenz (mit Max Mirnyi) konzentriert.

Da Nalbandian ein 0:3 H2H gegen Ferrer hat (zwar auf Sand) spiel und empfehl ich sicher keine 1.1-er Quote f?hn.
Zu H?el. Weiss ja nicht, woher ihr eure Infos habt aber f?ich schauts so aus:

Youzhny ein sehr starker Hardcourter mit 18:11 Sieg/NL auf diesem Belag 2004. Turniersieg im September.

H?el sehr stark indoor hard mit Turniersieg (gegen 4 Franzosen). Aber auf gew?ichem, eher langsamen Hard Court wie Aus Open keine Ergebnisse in 2004 ATP (challengers 2:1).

Da sind Quoten zwischen 1.25 und 1.3 ned so schlecht denk ich mir. Aber mal sehen,wer recht hat.

Rusedski sicher Favorit, aber Quoten von 1.4 sind mir zu wenig. Benneteau ? Viel Gl? gegen Nadal spiel ich nur Topleute.

Kleine Korrektur, nach meinen Infos stands H2H vor der heutigen Partie 5:1. Acasuso gewann am 21.04.2003 in Barcelona mit 6:1 3:6 und 6:3.
