Hab heute mal wieder am Chat partizipiert und nach Roddy gefragt:
"Although Roddy gets minutes as a starter right now he is more likely considered a role player when it comes to first and third quarter scoring in absence of Howard. Would you think that his performances are a result of his role right now as he can focus on limited minutes or is he already able to keep his numbers if minutes would grow?"

I think Rick Carlisle and Co. will be careful not to ask too much, too soon from Roddy Beaubois. Carlisle frequently points out that Beaubois is learning a new language while making a tremendous leap in competition after playing in a lower-level Euro league. The ideal situation for Beaubois is to get most of his minutes playing next to Jason Kidd, which means Beaubois doesn't have to run the offense and can rely more on his phenomenal natural talent. Eventually, the hope is Beaubois can play either guard spot, but he's got a lot to learn before the Mavs would be comfortable counting on him to play PG for long stretches.
