setzt ja eigentlich voraus,dass besagter jemand über ein wettguthaben von 235.000 pfund verfügen müsste...
dass es solche leute gibt will ich ja gar net in abrede stellen,aber ob so ein profi solch nen fehler macht??
normalerweise wird dies ja nicht bei BF angezeigt,wenn jemand irrsinnig hoch layt und dies spasseshalber dann selbst backt--viell. im pferdemarkt aber doch....

es haben mehrere Leute gesehen, also es stimmt wie beschrieben, aber es ist schon sehr unwahrscheinlich das es einem profi passiert. ist wohl entweder geldwäsche oder eine marketingaktion für betfair. dies allerdings in-play zu machen wäre wohl höchst riskant, aber viell. hat betfair da was manipuliert naja ich hoffe ich kriege news.
Naja ein Softwarefehler würde ich hier auch nicht auschließen, das dient hier nur unserer statistik ob hier mal ein fehler ist ehere belanglos....
Bei Betfair kommt man ja leider ziemlich einfach an das Passwort eines anderen Accounts. Wenn man schon den Benutzernamen und die E-Mail weiß, muss man nur noch persönliche Details wie etwa Geburtsname der Mutter rauskriegen, fertig.

hi ! die story stimmt wirklich,wurde in der englischen Presse heut erwaehnt.Habs glaube ich in der SUN gelesen.Da hat wirklich ueber 230000 ins den Sand gesetzt. [[bang]]

würd mich mal interessieren,wer da so 230.000 pfund,also um die 340.000 euro verzocken kann,zumal man bei so hohen quoten eh vom system eine art warnhinweis bekommt...
klingt für mich so ähnlich wie die geschichte bei paddy,als anscheinend ein paar bauarbeiter darauf gewettet haben,ob irgendein stadion(im bau)rechtzeitig fertig sein wird

Typing errors known as 'fat finger' have lost some people millions
A 'fat fingered' gambler lost £237,000 on an internet betting site because he pressed the wrong button, it's been revealed today.
However, the mistake actually meant that another lucky punter won £214,000.
The wager was made on the internet site Betfair where gamblers can make bets against each other.
It is thought the unlucky gambler had meant to place a bet at 999-1 on the pre-race 15-8 favourite, Peregrine Falcon.
But instead of making the bet, he accepted 999-1 wagers instead and the horse galloped to victory at Wolverhampton on Saturday.
A Betfair player who had accepted the offer and placed his own bet, netted £214,000.
Two other smaller bets also profited, which meant the fat-fingered gambler ended up paying out £237,000.
Betfair spokesman Tony Calvin said: 'It looks as if the layer simply made a mistake, as all prices matched have to be confirmed before they are traded.
'The only alternative I could imagine is that the layer was using an automatic trading system, and that there was some kind of problem with it.
'Nothing untoward is considered to have taken place, other than a genuine error on someone's part.'
The term 'fat finger' was thought up after bungling traders lost hundreds of millions of pounds by hitting the wrong button.
In December last year one trader at the Japanese firm Mizuho Securities cost his bank £128million after selling 599,999 shares by mistake.
The error meant colleagues lost out on their Christmas bonuses and it plunged the Japanese stock market into chaos.
And in 2001 trader Gontran de Quillacq who worked for investment bank Lehman Brothers typed in the wrong key and accidentally sold shares worth £300m instead of £3m.
The error wiped £30billion off the FTSE 100 index.

Für mich heißt die Moral von der Geschicht jedoch, dass Leute mit "fetten Fingern" besser keine Keyboards mehr nutzen und auf Spracherkennung umstellen sollten ... [[rofl]]
