Kansas City Royals bei Tampa Bay Devil Rays

Heute gefällt mir nur ein Spiel aus der höchsten Klasse.

M. Wood (1-0, 8.31), vs. S. McClung (0-2, 13.50)

The Royals hoped to have Runelvys Hernandez ready for this weekend. But, after a poor outing, he'll make at least one more start for Triple-A Omaha. That brings Wood out of the bullpen to face the Rays. Wood returns to the rotation, where last season his record was 2-4 with a 4.94 ERA in 10 starts. In 28 career starts, Wood is 5-13 with a 5.86 ERA.
McClung has had some control problems in his last two starts, lasting a combined eight innings while allowing 12 earned runs on 12 hits and 10 walks for a 13.50 ERA. On Monday, the Rays' home opener against Baltimore, McClung was tagged for five runs in five innings, on seven hits and three walks. McClung is 1-3 in his career in April, with a 9.45 ERA.
