JOHN ' FAX ' JENSEN IS COACH-TEMPORARY EMPLOYMENT ON THE MEN'S TEAM
Previous EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP-gold medalist and Super League-coach, John Faxe Jensen, will be the coach of the national team, which on Wednesday is to meet Slovakia in a friendly match.
When that whistle blows up tomorrow from a friendly match between Slovakia and Denmark, it will be with former player and Super League-coach, John Faxe Jensen, on the sidelines.
The Association's elite head, Kim tells Hallberg, who has been in charge of having to find a trainer-temporary employment as well as players for the forthcoming international matches. On the choice of coach-temporary agency he says:
"We have to put teams in the two matches in order to avoid fines and possible exclusion of million national team for several years. On behalf of the Danish Football Association's and I am glad that John Faxe Jensen has taken the difficult task to remain as coach in the two matches, "says Kim Hallberg.
Even John Faxe Jensen is pleased to be able to help Danish football in a tough situation.
"Where we are now, I see only losers in the conflict, and Danish football loses most of all."
"When I say ' yes ' to help here, it is because I feel very, very strongly for the national team, as an institution, and because I believe that the most important thing, however, must be that the fighting despite everything being played."
For John Faxe Jensen, it is important to emphasise that he makes up for Danish football's sake.
"I am not taking a position on the matter between DBU and players, my Yes is not the expression of it. I just hope to contribute to that we can get through these two matches, and that the parties find a solution as soon as possible. The national team have meant infinitely much to me in my career and in my life. It hurts to follow this course, and I hope that my contribution can help to limit the negative consequences. "
John Faxe Jensen is 53 years and was as player active in, among other things, Brøndby, Hamburg SV and Arsenal. He reached 69 international matches and was EM-winner in 1992, where he scored the first Danish goal in the EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP final. As a coach, he has been in charge of, among other things, Herfølge, Randers FC and Fremad Amager, like he has been assistant coach at Brøndby IF, Getafe and Blackburn. Fax get Hasse Kuhn as assistant coach for the match.
The names of the players will be published later. The team is now on its way to Bratislava. They will not be available for interviews, since they would focus on the fight Wednesday night.
There will be a press conference in Slovakia with John Faxe Jensen. It takes place on the Grand River Hotel in Bratislava 18.30 o'clock.
