bitte nicht böse sein Superman, daß ich nen neuen Thread aufmache
(vielleicht kommt ja mehr zum Thema Davis Cup zusammen)

Ich hab ihn bisher eher vernachlässigt (wie auch das Posten hier im Forum), aber eigentlich ist es eine ganz interessant Angelegenheit.
Hab mir auch gerade eine Works-Datei gebastelt, wo ich meine Einschätzungen zuden jeweils 5 Paarungen einsetzten kann und da taucht eine wesentliche Frage auf:
wie sind die Doppel einzuschätzen?

Ich kenne mich im Doppel fast 0 aus.


Meine Einschätzungen:
Schweiz-Frankreich 56% - 44%
Heuberger ganz gut drauf z.Zt. (und in den 56% für die Schweizer hab ich ihn auch schon entsprechend eingeschätzt, sogar so hoch, daß 3,0 gegen Clement zu spielen sind. Wenn man ihn schlechter einstuft, müßte man Frankreich auf Weiterkommen wetten.....)
Frankreich hat möglicherweise das stärkere Doppel (w/ Llodra)

Spanien-Holland
finde ich auch eine klare Sache (klarer als Deutschland -Israel, Israel übrigens small @9 Bet&Win oder mehr bei BF)

USA-Schweden
hier komme ich darauf, daß Schweden eine kleine Chance hat, aber quotenmäßig ist es knapp (so ab 4,5 aufs Weiterkommen -> möglicherweise Betfair)
Quoten für die Einzelspiele hab ich noch nicht gefunden

Belarus-Argentinien
Das ist auch interessant. Canas macht etwas auf understatement, er hat nicht mehr mit dem Anruf gerechnet und so....
Voltchkov ist sicherlich der Schwachpunkt bei Weißrußland und die Gauchos sind ja mittlerweile Allrounder. Argentinien leichter Favorit insgesamt. Aber etwas mehr value steckt wohl im Auftaktmatch Canas'. >2,5 gegen Mirnyi. Eigentlich ist Canas der bessere und formmäßig auch zur Zeit, aber die Rahmenbedingungen, für mich eh alles small w/ Davis Cup Unerfahrung

kann dir bei Argentinien überhaupt nicht zustimmen. Meiner Meinung nach hat Calleri auf dem schnellen Teppich keine Chance und Canas auch eher wenig. Mirnyi der Spezialist wird beide Einzel gewinnen und dáuch das Doppel und deshalb bin ich auf den 1.8 Weissrussland Sieg hier.

Ansonsten eher die Einzelkurse abwarten; vor allem was das Doppel betrifft, ist ganz entscheidend, wie es nach den ersten Einzeln steht, denn das ist eine Motivationssache natürlich auch !

aber natürlich gibts auch kritische stimmen, die zu recht die frage aufwerfen, was passiert, wenn big max seine zuletzt eher indifferente form fortsetzt...:

Argentina are 19/20 to beat Belarus in their Davis Cup quarter-final tie this weekend, and the price looks a little tempting given that the South Americans are actually favourites with several layers to win the whole tournament.

Argentina have a great Davis Cup tradition, while the quarter-finals represents unchartered territory for Belarus, who shocked Russia last time out.

Argentina meanwhile have made the semi-finals for the past two years, and have some wonderful strength in depth.


They made light work of Morocco in the opening round (winning without dropping so much as a rubber), and should prove a bridge too far for plucky Belarus here.


The sides actually met in Davis Cup action in 2001, with Argentina emerging as emphatic winners.

The South Americans actually denied Belarus a place in the World Group when sauntering to a 5-0 play-off win.

Admittedly that match was on clay, and obviously Argentina are not as fancied as they would be if the match was again played on the red dirt, but I still expect them to prevail on the indoor Taraflex.

All things considered they just look too seasoned as individuals and as a unit to come a cropper here.

They may be without main men Guillermo Coria and David Nalbandian, but in Augustin Calleri and Guillermo Canas have a couple of very capable replacements.

Calleri has enjoyed a decent start to 2004, and has reached a final (Brasil Open), semi-final (Doha) and quarter-final (Miami) on the main tour.

He is clearly in good nick, and this tie may well depend on his tussle with Max Mirnyi.

'The Beast' can be devastating on his day (as Russia found out to their cost a round ago), but he can also be made to look very ordinary and there are still questions marks about him mentally.

Mirnyi is only 10-7 in ATP match play this year, and has lost to distincly average sorts including Andrei Pavel and Martin Verkerk along the way.

For Belarus to have any chance Mirnyi would have to be at his optimum best, and it would still require Vladimir Voltchkov to pull something out of the bag against Calleri or Canas (who can also play a bit).

I can't see them winning the doubles, for in Lucas Arnold Argentina have one of the best 'pairs' players in the world.

Given Argentina's record in the event (it seems a case of when not if they finally get their name engraved on the silver punchbowl), I think they should have too much for Belarus, who have done well to get to this stage.

As far as correct score betting is concerned, the 7/2 about Argentian winning 4-1 is not without appeal.

I reckon if Mirnyi is up for it he could snatch one of his single rubbers, but given the fact that Belarus have very little in reserve (namely Alexander Shec and Alexander Skyrypo) they could collapse if they lose the early singles.

Elsewhere Spain should have far too much for Holland in Mallorca.

Spain have a 5-2 head-to-head lead over the Dutch in Davis Cup clashes to date, and go into the tie as massive favourites (they are as short as 1/66 in places).

The Iberians should be right at home on the red clay in Mallorca, and Martin Verker, Raemon Sluiter and John Van Lottum certainly look to have their work cut out against the likes of Carlos Moya, Juan Carlos Fererro and teen prodigy Rafael Nadal.


It's perhaps appropriate that the venue of choice for the clash is the Plaza de Toros "Coliseo", a stadium most famous for its bullfights, as I fully expect Spain to play the role of Matadors to perfection in this one.

The USA at a best price 1/4 should also prove too hot for Sweden on home soil, but Jonas Bjorkman or Thomas Enqvist are more than capable of upsetting American singles player Mardy Fish and so that too looks a match best left alone.


The remaining quarter-final match between Switzerland and France should prove far more competitive.

The Swiss are essentially a one-man team these days, but what a man!

Roger Federer is universally regarded as the best player on the planet right now, and if he turns up with his 'A Game' should easily see off the likes of Arnaud Clement, Nicolas Escude or Julien Benneteau with the mimimum of fuss.

Incidentally, Sebastien Grosjean was decalred unfit earlier this week and so won't feature.

It's still quite an ask for the Swiss, now skippered by the veteran Marc Rosset.

France lead the head-to-head stakes 9-2 since the nations first crossed swords back in 1923.

Significantly however, Switzerland won the last time the sides met (at this very stage last year).

That match was on hardcourt (as this one is), but was actually played in Toulouse.

Federer is certainly a better player now than he was then, and with Grosjean missing and Clement so out of sorts in 2004 France have clearly regressed since that meeting.

So the advice is to get on board the 'Fed Express', and back the (7/10) Swiss in a double with Argentina.

Zeigt irgendein europäischer Fernsehsender/Digitalfernsehen Daviscup live ( Schweiz [[nixweiss]] vielleicht?) Was braucht man an Empfangsvoraussetzungen? Hab´langsam die Schnauze voll, hole mir bald `nen Technikfreak ins Haus und lass`mir einen Antennenwald bauen wenns sein muss, nicht mal die DC-Finals waren in den vergangenen Jahren irgendwo zu sehen. [[hammer]]
Wäre sehr nett, wenn jemand was dazu sagen könnte. [[smile]]

TSI 2 (italienisch) und TSR 2 (französisch) sind Schweizer Sender, allerdings brauchst du eine Karte, um die via Digital-Satellit sehen zu können...
SF 2 (deutschsprachiger Schweizer Sende) fehlt noch in der Auflistung von Joker. Die bringen auch alle Spiele live, sind aber ebenfalls nur mit Karte zu empfangen, zumindest via Digital-Satellit. Aber eigentlich müssten die auch sonst irgendwie zu empfangen sein. SF 2 sollte doch ganz normal via Antenne ohne Satellit nach Deutschland und Österreich senden [[nixweiss]]

Aber vielleicht kriegst auch einen der Französischen Sender, die das Spiel live übertragen...

Wenn i mir jetzt so ansehe was Herby da für eine Quote für Weissrussland preisgibt bin ich doppelt froh daß ich seinen Spanien/Weißrussland-Post vorletzte Nacht gelesen habe....und Dank Herby mir eine 1,92 bei Unibet sichern konnte.

Die Argentinier können kaum noch viel aus dem Hut zaubern, Mirnyi ist gegen alle Favorit, auch im Doppel sind sie klar zu favorisieren. Spanien detto noch klarer. Die Wette ist gewonnen, 100prozentig ! [[winkewinke]]

Zu den Halbfinals beim Family Circle Cup: Petrova (@3 Centrebet) sollte nach ihrem 2-Satz-Sieg über Serena nicht chancenlos sein. Davenport ist nach wie vor kein Laufwunder und kann nur gewinnen, wenn sie selber die Ballwechsel diktiert. Ob DAS allerdings die Russin so einfach mit sich geschehen läßt, wage ich zu bewzweifeln. Valuebet also
Selbst das andere HF ist nicht so klar, wie manche denken ( @3,90 CB für Mauresmo. An guten Tagen kann sie Henin immer noch besiegen. Die Französin war hier schon mal Turniersiegerin. Henin mit Schwächen im Spiel gegen Martinez, die sich hier nicht wiederholen dürfen, wenn sie siegen will.

PETROVA-Davenport: Panzer in aussergewöhnlicher form bekanntlich eine gewisse Williams S. gestern ohne mucks 62 63 rausgenommen. gegen die laufschwache davenport definitiv zu spielen. take the russian stormtrooper to switch to kill `em all mode again. @ knapp unter 3,0.

MAURESMO-Henin: muss ich immer ein bisserl aufpassen, bin etwas biased hier. was für eine frau

. eine der wenigen, die die ekelhafte belgierin fordern können (h2h 2-2). Amelie mit starker vorstellung hier bis jetzt zu aussergewöhnlichen quoten. baw opened 4,50 und hats nicht halten können - und werdens mit ihren aktuell 4,05 auch nicht tun.

GRANDE-Loit: wie der grosse gestern schon herausgearbeitet hat: versteckt sich das ganze jahr auf clay, aber hier dick da. man weiss nicht genau, was sie ihr am abend in die wasserpfeife packen, aber um 2,50 überall auf jeden fall.

KOUKALOVA-Cervanova: baw opened 1,43-2,45 (!) - ich mag diese kleinen hinweise. 1,80+ überall
