Estonian club JK Trans Narva have been awarded a 3-0 default win over their Serbo-Montenegrin UEFA Intertoto Cup opponents OFK Beograd, following an incident which led to an 80-minute interruption of last Saturday's first-round first leg between the two sides.

Smoke canister
UEFA's Control and Disciplinary Body also fined OFK €6,535 as a result of the incident, in which a smoke canister containing CS gas was thrown into an unoccupied sector of the stadium during the match, which OFK won 6-1.

Loud bang
The Control and Disciplinary Body learned in examining the official match reports that after 20 minutes of the match, a loud bang was heard and a smoke canister was seen on the terracing behind the goal being defended by Trans Narva. A few minutes later, it appeared that the smoke coming from the canister was CS gas, an incapacitating gas.

Left the field
The body heard that the match referee, Scotland's Ian Brines, asked the players and technical staff to leave the pitch for the dressing rooms. The game was interrupted for an hour and 20 minutes.

Breathing problems
Trans Narva lodged a protest with UEFA, stating that two of their players suffered particular breathing problems as a result of the incident, and that one player was taken to hospital at half-time. The Estonian club said that their substitutes were also affected by the gas.

Empty area
OFK stated that the gas canister had been thrown from outside the stadium, and had landed in an empty area 40 metres from the goal-line. The club described claims that Trans Narva players had suffered breathing problems as allegations, adding that all security measures had been taken for the match, and that the club did not bear responsibility for incidents that may have occurred outside the stadium.

Appropriate measures
UEFA's Control and Disciplinary Body ruled that it was the host club's duty to evaluate the risks involved in a match and to take appropriate measures. The body said that OFK had not submitted appropriate evidence, and was responsible for the irregularity of the match. It added that it was a "stroke of luck" that no further players, officials or spectators were affected by the gas. OFK may appeal against the decision by midnight on Friday 27 June.

Bei Gloria Bistrita sollte wirklich nix schiefgehen. Wie schwach Bangor beinander ist, wurde ja schon letzte Woche hier im Forum erwähnt.
Bistrita war das heimstärkste Team letzte Saison in Rumänien (11 2 2 26-8)...

Flo, für wie sicher hältst du die Siege von Belgrad und Wil?

Ist 1,5 (Belgrad) und 1,6 (Wil) bei Wettpunkt spielbar?

Wurden eh beide Spiele schon besprochen. Belgrad und Wil sind auf jeden Fall zu spielen, auch zu diesen Quoten. Wobei ich Wil 1,6 besser finde als Belgrad 1,5.
Denn es könnte Belgrad ja auch passieren, daß es lange 0:0 steht und die sich dann aufgeben...wobei, das glaub ich nicht...Trans Narva hat bis jetzt alle internationalen Spiele verloren. Also 2 klare Siege.

Walisische Teams können genauso wenig wie estische. Die Nationalteams trumpfen zwar öfters auf, aber auf Klubene läuft dort nichts zusammen.
Bangor ist mies, Trans Narva ist mies. Beide Teams sind chancenlos gegen Bistrita bzw. Belgrad. Ganz egal, wie das Hinspiel ausgegangen ist.
